Scanco Medical AG was officially founded as a spin-off of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zürich by:

Professor of Biomedical Engineering, ETH Zürich - Maximilian Dambacher, M.D.

1998
SCANCO USA, Inc., was established in Wayne, Pennsylvania to develop and support the North American market. This office also serves as first point of contact for the Central and South American markets.
2008
Following 20 years of continuous growth, SCANCO Medical AG relocated to new, much larger premises in Brüttisellen, near Zürich. The new location, which offers better facilities for development, production and contract services, is easily accessible from central Zürich and close to Zürich International airport.
